Religious Education Christmas Show, December 2005

The children enrolled in our Religious Education Program had a Christmas Play and Party on Sunday, December 18, 2005.  The children acted out the story of the Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.  We give special thanks to religious education teacher, Eric Peterson, for taking the photos!    Please enjoy them!

Sr. Pat, our Pastoral Associate and Director of Religious Education, stands near the Christmas Tree before the show began.

Those children who portrayed Mary and the angels wait as preparations to begin the show are finalized.

One of the students narrates the show as the others watch.

The Angel greets Mary: "Hail Mary, full of grace!"

The Angel speaks to Joseph in a dream.

The children of the Religious Education Program listen intently as the play continues.  The Christmas spirit is in the air!

Mary and Joseph make the long journey to Bethlehem.

Many of the children watched the show with great interest.  It was a good time for all.

Because they said there was no room for them at the inn, Mary and Joseph are told they can stay in the stable, where the animals live.

Mary prepares to place the infant Jesus in the manger.

The appearance of the angel to the shepherds is celebrated with both fear and joy.

Hosts of heavenly angels worship the new born King!

Religious Education teacher Sonia Rosa helps the children prepare for the next act.

All fall down in adoration before Jesus, the newborn Prince of Peace and the Lord of all!
