The Trinity Human Service Center is a non-sectarian,
not-for-profit corporation which strives to meet various needs of those who
reside in the Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Bushwick areas of Brooklyn.
"The Center" serves thousands of clients who come to its
door each year. It was founded in 1979 and has been a beacon of hope for
many people struggling with various problems or issues typically found in urban
History of the Center
Trinity Human Services Corporation was founded in 1979 by the Most Holy Trinity
Roman Catholic Church in Williamsburg Brooklyn. It attained its nonprofit status
in 1983 under the name Most Holy Trinity Housing Corporation, led by a group of
volunteers belonging to the Dominican Sisters Congregation of Amityville. Then
in 1991, to meet the compounding needs in the communities it served, it expanded
into a social service center and its name was amended to Trinity Human Services

training for its clients is a goal of the Center.
The Center Today
Trinity Human Services Center is a social service organization that has provided
case assistance, information and educational training to the economically
disadvantaged families of Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Bushwick, Brooklyn.
From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, the Trinity Center works to address the
varied needs of its community members. During its last calendar year the Center
served over 80,000 meals and had over 12,000 client contacts. It is the only
social service food pantry with daily operating hours in the Williamsburg area.
The Vision of the Center
The overreaching vision of Trinity Human Services Corporation and its staff is
to make certain that our most vulnerable youngsters and our most tried parents
flourish. The Center is dedicated to developing a One-Stop-Shop approach to
social services; one site where they are known by staff that understand their
fundamental needs, their numerous obstacles and their distinctive situations.

Services We Offer
Trinity Human Service Center works to provide educational and social services on
all levels, including but not limited to emergency food and clothing assistance,
advocacy for entitlements and immigration, referrals for employment and job
training/placement, E.S.L. classes, child protective services, medical and mental healthcare,
housing and emergency shelters, legal services, foster care, literacy, alcohol
and drug abuse, and domestic violence.
The Trinity Center aids individuals and families in crisis situations as well as
those that are at-risk, providing preventive measures to avoid family crisis, so
that they may work towards improving the quality of their lives. The means to
this end always focus on bigger issues that encompass a wide range of familial
needs, community support and the overall personal growth of the participant.
In keeping with its mission the Trinity Center has established the following
programs to assist clients in crisis:
Program that dispenses free emergency food packages.
–A Clothing Program that provides clothing for men, women and children.
–Social Services Program with a staff that helps clients with every type
of case assistance.
One of our faithful thrift shop volunteer, shows some of
the many goods the thrift shop has to offer.
Thrift Shop is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00
AM until 4:00 PM. Come and see the treasures we have!
Each year the Trinity Human Service Center sponsors a Thanksgiving Food Drive
in order to provide food baskets for struggling families during the holiday.
In December, the Center sponsors a Christmas Toy Drive so that children
from economically deprived families can share the joy of the holiday season.
Occasionally the Center holds Flea Markets, in order to raise
funds, as well as Health Fairs to promote healthy living for people of the community.
